Misty morning rain

“I have often thought that we do not have nearly enough words for rain, especially as this was once a rainforest. There is booming rain, whispery rain, rain that lulls you to sleep, and rain on the leaves which sings you awake; there is soft rain, hard rain, sideways rain, rain that makes you instantly wet, and rain that leaves soft kisses on your cheek, like the wings of a butterfly. Rain brings us all the shades of gray, but it also brings us the wonderful greenery that surrounds us and blesses us all.” – Regan D’Andrade +++ ©Mariko Evans …

Through my window.

“You have the nicest window, you know? None of the others can even compete. It´s not flashy like the others, or bleary – your window gives of this nice, quiet light.” – Banana Yoshimoto +++ Yes, I like my windows. :) ©Mariko Evans

Lingering Summer

After spending a weekend in San Francisco, under foggy white & grey skies – yes, Autumn was already there – it was sort of lovely surprise that we’re welcomed by Sunny Sky upon our return to Vancouver. It’s always not easy to let the Summer go, oh Summer, stay a little longer… till I’ll be totally ready for shooting in Autumn colours… : ) ©Mariko Evans

Still.

Where our eyes are never closing Our hearts were never broken And time’s forever frozen, still – Ed Sheeran +++ ©Mariko Evans

Hydrangea

He called hydrangeas purple. And they were. Not fixed and deadly, (like a curving line That merely makes a ring). It was a purple changeable to see. And so hydrangeas came to be. – Wallace Stevens +++ ©Mariko Evans

She speaks silence.

He says he likes her as she is quiet But I know that she speaks silence…a lot yet only a few people know about it and listen what she says Enjoy your weekend everyone. ©Mariko Evans
